I have been a full-time accounting instructor at UNR since the fall of 1999. I have taught a variety of accounting and information systems classes including introductory financial accounting, introductory managerial accounting, financial reporting I (intermediate I), and computer applications.

I was raised and educated in Wyoming. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming. I was a public school teacher for five years. I received my MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1991.

I am licensed as a CPA in the state of Nevada. I worked for the public accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP. In addition, I worked four years in private industry prior to joining the faculty at UNR.

I have been the faculty advisor for the Zeta Iota Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi since January 2004.

I am a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the American Accounting Association.

Of all of my experiences, I am most passionate about teaching and consider myself very fortunate to be a faculty member at UNR.
