11.5.2011 Kohn Colodny Luncheon
On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Kohn Colodny gave a presentation on the differences between small and large firms. Beth Kohn-Cole, Sophie, Lisa, Trish, and Zach. They discussed the difference in the amount of hours you may have to work and the flexibility of hours at both types of firms. Another important difference discussed was the relationships you will have with your colleagues at different sized firms. Smaller firms, they said, gave you a better chance to get to know everyone. Their presentation was very informative and gave us a better understanding of the differences between firms. We hope to work more with Kohn Colodny and their staff.
10.31.2011 Hug High Clean Up
On October 22, 2011 members of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) participated in a community service project to help beautify Hug High School. The community service project started as a way to help the janitors at Hug High keep the school looking nice and has become an annual event. About 40 members attended the event and helped Hug High with tasks around their campus. Students teamed up to tackle different areas of the school, including the football field and baseball diamond. Members were able to pick up several bags of trash and even raked leaves. President Shyla Pheasant was quoted in the Reno Gazette Journal as saying, “Every little bit helps.” The clean up was a huge success and we are looking forward to helping Hug High in future years.
As a foeudnr of the Phi-Alpha Chapter, I’m astonishingly pround of their hard work in getting this award. That tells me we set a strong foundation.CONGRATULATION!!!!
